BBQ Fun
Attention Wednesday Nighters!
I just wanted to shout a great big thanks to all of you that could join us last night at Kandace’s for good old fashioned BBQ and fellowship. I’m sorry to those of you that couldn’t make it (we missed you Nichole, Kathy, Andrew), but I know that more of these events will be happening. We will be trying to put something together every other week. Whether it’s just a movie night, going to grab coffee together, bowling, or anything else you can think of, it’s important we really get to hang out together on top of the time we have to worship God together.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow night at the IZZI for some more good fellowship, teaching, prayer, worship, and accountability. We will be discussing evangelism some more and equipping everybody with the tools to share the Good News with people. In fact, in a couple weeks, we will be evangelizing together, though the method and location is still to be determined. So, to prepare for tomorrow, start thinking about your testimony, how you came to Christ, how you have shared Christ in the past, and anything else concerning the Gospel. We look forward to hearing what you have to share. And for those of you reading along, we’re still in Acts.
Monday Night Barbecue
Attention Wednesday Night Home Fellowship group!
Don't forget tonight, at 7:45, we are gathering at Kandace's place for a little BBQ action. She will have chicken there, but if you want anything else (chips, salad, fruit, etc.), you will have to bring it on your own. I will be bringing beverages, so there's no problem there. And don't forget your suits, either. We will primarily be hanging out at the pool.
Check your email for directions. I sent them out on Friday. I'll see you all tonight.

Wednesday Night Home Fellowship
I don’t know about you all, but last night really ministered to me. It was great hearing about all your weeks, what God has been doing in your lives, and what you had to share last night specifically regarding the teaching. Again, I want to emphasize the importance and my prayer to see all of you ministering in the way you have been gifted by the Holy Spirit. Everyone misses out if you don’t share what God has laid on your heart. Thanks so much for contributing, and don’t be afraid to contribute more. Whether it’s a Psalm, a Proverb, a poem, a song, your service to the group, or something else, we are all in this together.
As we dove into the Word about evangelism last night, encompassing topics which also included loving one another, witnessing, and faith, to recap the night in a verse, I wanted to just share again what I believe we need to be living day in and day out. I John 4:7-21 reads:
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
That’s a whole lot of lovin’ goin’ on in that passage. If we do it right, people will not understand why we love them so much. Remember to be witnesses throughout the week, and if you can, try to go out of your way for somebody that does not know the Lord this week. Whether it’s picking lunch up for them, buying them a coffee, giving them a card of thanks for something specific, or praying for them, I look forward to hearing what God did through your witnessing next week.
Thank you everyone again for being there last night and wanting to build a family environment. I love you all and look forward to seeing you sometime very soon (note: if you can make it to TNL tonight, it’s going to be HIL-AR-I-OUS!). If I don’t see you tonight, I will see you Sunday or Monday.

Party Success
Well, the party went off without a hitch. No fire. No blood. Lots of fun. If you missed the party, we're sorry. But don't worry, there will be others.
We had about 170 people walk through the course of the night, maybe more. At 8am, we had about 15 people left, standing strong. We went through about 100 pounds of ice, 80 liters of soda, 8 gallons of lemonade and fruit punch, 14 gallons of water, and TONS of food.
Also, we began taking orders for IZZI T-shirts. If you would like a T-shirt or video of the bash, make sure to email bunchers@theizzi.net as soon as possible to reserve yours now. We'll post pictures and other comments about the party later, but for now, this will have to do. If you were there, comment on this blog about the party and let us know what you thought.
Thanks again to all the attendees, Exit Theory for an awesome show, GnR (Geoffrey and Rost) for five hours of great DJing, Humberto Ontiveros of Forward College design for creating a great invitation, and everyone else that helped get the party ready. You all made it happen.
